This is probably one of the hardest posts I've had to write in my life. How to disband a clan you have been the leader of for 7 years ? Call me emotional for sobbing over a gaming clan of which I was one of the founders 7 years ago , and I tried to keep it together through the up's and down's. The final nail to the coffin was that the people who were the last working core of lite left , I can't really blame any of 'em leaving and I'd b lieing if I said I didnt understand the reason why they chose to do so , +part of the reason that made me choose to go on with this I dont have the time nor the motivation to look for new people and start training them how to play Deepcanyon. I also started thinking how much of the original Lite team is still together that still plays the game or atleast idle's at the channel ? " Lite down " Posted 2007-5-5 by X The list isnt too long. Me ( X ) , Afrodege , WeiRD , Zibull and MaX. And none of us really play the game too much anymore due to different reasons. Plus , how much of the Action Quake2 scene is still left that was there when I started playing ? Today I recognize maybe a handfull of clans out there. And even fewer players. There has been a countless number of people with the tag [Lite] over the years , but the Team nearest to my heart will always be the very first template we had any success with and with who I worked the hardest. So I'd like to give special thanks to failure , Puffe , Bzkt , MaX , WeiRD , Afrodege , Zerox , Silu , Zibull and Diamond. Sorry if I forgot some1 off the list but afterall it has been a long time. The current and final template of eskimoes im disbanding now is: X , MaX , WeiRD , Afrodege , Zerox , Boarder , Rainmaker , Memento , Fuego , Zibull , Moujou , and Jaxi. We have made some great memories and played thousands of CW's. " Lite down " Posted 2007-5-5 by X Some were more exciting than others , like the one against [ap] several years ago but I still remember it like it was yesterday as I specced the last tiebreaking round thru MaX's eyesas he was left alone against 5 people with his SSG and still managed to take the round. O man how I was sweating and jumping on my chair , haha.. Or the 2000'th CW against Apprime which was a close call also , it still makes me smile when I read WeiRD's post about it on the news section. :) The way I see it we have always had the talent to take on any clan out there but rarely did we have the 100% concentration on our clanwars which resulted in not really accomplishing anything in the dozens of tournaments we participated in. Dont get me wrong I enjoyed every minute of this long run and afterall Lite was meant to be a casual gaming clan rather than a place for hardcore nolifers. We have not always seen eye to eye with our opponents who have repeatedly called us campers , cheaters etc.. (I still think that the ones calling us campers on DC are only mad that we have had better snipers on the roof than they. :) At some point we had a great idea of starting to host IRL Lite meetings , and I think we had about 5 and so far they have all been a success. Hopefully this tradition will be kept alive with the former members even tho the clan itself as of now is dead. Next , I'll try to remember EVERY last person who has played in my clan the past 7 years for some statistics. We've lost Leutsi and Septique , and most of our old players are sadly inactive right now. This forced me to take action and recruit new faces to keep Lite owning in the Action Quake 2 scene. I want to introduce and welcome Kmohi , Kebab , Jonibee and Rainmaker to our crew. + we have Feit as a trial and I must say he has already showed us some impressive moves in a few CW's. This match was planned days earlier because we wanted to play against a respected clan such as Apprime. The match was as tight as a little girl's ass but we managed to survive. The result was 26-25 and the game was won in the last few rounds which made it taste even better! My only hope was that there would have been more players who have been in Lite almost from the beginning.
